It is a known fact that citalopram, in fact every other antidepressant, takes at least 4 to 6 weeks to start producing noticeable therapeutic results. However, it starts producing side effects way earlier.

I had confusion, memory loss, extreme anxiety, brutal brain zaps, speech impediment i really felt i was going insane. i started with 10mg for 6 days, then 20mg for 14 days before i had enough. i weened myself off for 5 days at 10mg.
